Booking Terms & Conditions

By making a booking to stay with us, you are entering a legal contract that is subject to the following terms and conditions:

PRICES

Our prices indicated on our website for the b&b are per bedroom and include full English breakfast. There is a supplementary rate in the reservoir room for an additional bed for a child.

Prices for the barn are for sole occupancy of the barn for up to 12 people. Catering is available at an extra cost.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

Arrival: Check-in time on your first day is strictly between 4pm and 9pm unless otherwise pre-arranged. 

Departure: Unless varied by prior mutual agreement, on the day of departure, we kindly request that you vacate your bedroom by 10.30am to allow us time to prepare it for our next guests.

The balance amount of your booking is payable on departure by credit/debit card or cash 

DOGS AND PETS

We do permit dogs by prior arrangement if they are well behaved. We have free roaming chickens on the property and livestock in adjacent fields so the dog must be kept on a lead. Please bring its bed and do not let the dog on the furniture. We do not permit dogs in the dining room and ask that they be left in your car during meal times unless they are completely settled in your room. Any damage causes by animals in the bedrooms will have to be paid for.

There is a £15 per stay charge for dogs in the barn and the b&b

NON SMOKING

We have a no-smoking policy throughout the house. 

MAKING A BOOKING

Bookings are normally a minimum stay of two nights or three nights on Bank Holiday weekends, Christmas and New Year. Please check with us, as sometimes we have gaps that may fit in with you.

A reservation must be accompanied by the payment deposit of £100 per room or payment in full. Payment in full is due 7 days before your stay.

Booking must be paid by credit/debit card, so we will need your credit/debit card details at hand, please. Your details will only be used by Dale house and we will not share them with any third party. You will be asked to complete a registration card during your stay.

Special Requirements: If you or any member of your party has any special requirements i.e dietary – please let us know at the time of making the booking. 

CANCELLATION, CURTAILMENT AND POSTPONEMENT

We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract and that cancellations cause loss to small establishments. Please be aware that these Terms and Conditions overrule any or card scheme rules that your credit/debit card provider may offer or have in place.

Holiday insurance: For inexpensive holiday insurance (UK only) please go to Guest First website.

Cancellation in the B&B:  If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room. We reserve the right to charge the full amount due in the event of a late cancellation(within 7 days) of the day of your arrival where we are unable to re-let the room(s).

Course cancellation – Payment in full is due 4 weeks before your course. If you need to cancel we will endeavour to sell your place and offer you alternative dates or a refund. If this is not possible then we will not be able to refund you.

Bookings in the barn – Payment in full is due 4 weeks before your stay. If you need to cancel we will endeavour to get the barn re booked and offer you alternative dates or a refund. If this is not possible then we will not be able to refund you.

Corona virus – You should not travel here is you have corona virus, have been contacted by track and trace to isolate or have knowingly been in contact with someone who has corona virus. Our normal terms and conditions apply and if you must cancel your booking withing 7 days of your stay we cannot offer any refund or rescheduling of stay unless we are able to fill your booking.

Curtailment- If you must curtail your booking in advance of, or during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room for the days you cannot stay. If we cannot re-let the room, then you will still be liable for the remaining outstanding balance. If we can re-let the room for part of your remaining booking, then you will only be liable for any days that the room is not re-let.

Non-Arrivals: Should you fail to arrive without letting us know, there will be a charge for the full outstanding balance.

Third Party Bookings: If the person paying for the booking is different to the person taking up the occupation, the person who pays for the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, curtailment or non-arrival fees as well as damage or loss, and appropriate charges will be taken from their credit/debit card.

Postponements: If you need to postpone your booking, please give us a much notice as possible so that we can try to re-let your room. 

NON-AVAILABILITY OF ACCOMMODATION

We would only cancel your booking if your room was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

DURING YOUR STAY

Our aim is to offer all our guests a relaxing and tranquil stay and we kindly ask guests to respect the quiet enjoyment and relaxation of other guests.

Visitors to rooms: Guests are not permitted to have visitors to their rooms without our prior agreement.

Accidents happen: Please let us know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can attempt a speedy repair or clean. Spillages are more easily rectified the sooner they are dealt with. Any significant breakage or damage may result in a charge for replacement, repair or specialist cleaning. If the damage means the room cannot be made available in good time for the next arriving guests, you may also be liable for our loss of income.

Please be aware that we are on a septic tank system with macerating toilets. It is very important that wet wipes or other items other that toilet paper and natural waste are not flushed down the toilets. There are bins in the bathrooms for your use. If we have to call a plumber to remove blockages of wipes then there will be a £150 charge.

Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.

Parking

There are spaces for up to 5 cars for guests in the barn and 1 car space for each room in the b&b.

Arrival

Check in is from 4pm and check out is from 10.30am.

Liability

The owners do not and will not accept responsibility for damages, loss, accident, injury or death resulting in the use of the barn or the b&b. We cannot accept responsibility for loss of expense due to delays in travel or weather conditions, sickness or any other reason.

Please respect the countryside around us and note that fireworks and Chinese lanterns are not permitted in the Forest of Bowland.
