Access Statement
Dale house barn and B&B is in a remote part of the Forest of Bowland. The property is a 400-year-old farm house with little or no level ground around it.
We can be accessed by car, bicycle or on foot.
The nearest train station is 5 miles away (down/up a big hill) Clapham, North Yorkshire. We can on occasion pick you up from the station or give you details of a local taxi driver.
Parking is outside on tarmac.
There is wi-fi in both the barn and farmhouse. Mobile phone signal is limited.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead and not left unattended. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog.
We live on site and are happy to help you during your stay.

The Barn
There is parking for up to 5 cars outside the barn on flat tarmac. There is a covered arch leading into the barn. The floor is old flagstones that are slightly uneven. There is a double height room with a large table, seating and a wood fired log burner.
There are 2 toilets, 1 with disabled access, the other has a step down to it.
There are 2 showers, each with a single step down.
The sleeping areas are accessed by a wooden staircase.
Sleeping is on single mattresses placed on the floor.
Access to the garden is by 3 stone steps. The garden is partly sloping lawn and slate gravel. There is a fence surrounding the garden.
The Farmhouse
Parking is outside on tarmac. Small step from the porch into the entrance room. The ground floor is all on one level and is smooth flag stones. Guest access is only for the entrance room, dining room and if on a course, the kitchen. All our bedrooms are upstairs. They are fully carpeted.
The Forest room and Reservoir room are both en-suite with a shower, toilet and basin. The shower room floor is tiled.
The Barn owl room has a separate private bathroom, which is 4m along a carpeted corridor, with a shower, roll top bath, toilet and basin. Tiled floor.
Guests are welcome to sit in the garden. It is accessed through a wooden gate to the side of the house. There is loose slate gravel and lawn. Parts are uneven or sloped.
The fields around the house do not belong to us, therefore there is no guest access.
