What to Expect:
- Foraging Walk: Start with a local stroll from the Esse kitchen to discover and identify commonly found wild ingredients. What we gather will depend on the time of year, but may include treasures like rosehips, wild garlic, pineapple weed, meadowsweet, sorrel, bilberries, blackberries, nettles, or dandelions.
- Cooking & Preservation Techniques: Back in the kitchen, you’ll learn to prepare a variety of dishes and explore methods for preserving and flavouring food.
What You’ll Make:
- Wild Herb & Fruit Oils and Vinegars: Create vibrant infusions that add a burst of flavour to your cooking.
- Foraged Savoury Tart: A seasonal centrepiece showcasing the best of what nature offers.
