General

Covid-19 If within 14 days of your stay you have symptoms of covid, have tested positive or have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19, you must not travel to stay here. Please contact us to reschedule your booking. 

 

  • If you become ill before your stay and test positive for Covid-19 then we will reshedule your stay penalty free. Please do not travel here if you are unwell.
  • If you become unwell with suspected Covid-19 during your stay, you should return home by private transport and self isolate in line with government advice.
  • If you are not well enough to travel home and need to extend your stay, you will be liable for the additional cost and any susequent cancellations incurred, including those of other guests.
  • We are required to keep a record of all guests staying at the property. A contact form will be required to be filled out by all guests either prior to their stay or on arrival.

Bookings and cancellations in the b&b

The bed and breakfast can be booked online or by phone or email. 

Guests can cancel free of charge up to 7 days of their stay otherwise full cost of stay will be charged

Check in is from 3pm- 9pm and check out is by 11am

Breakfast is anytime before 9.30am

Booking and Cancellations in the barn

To book the barn, a minimum deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking. Your requested dates will be held for one week from date of your invoice. If your deposit has not been received by then, you may loose your dates. The balance should be paid 4 weeks before your stay. 

Cancellations 8 weeks prior to stay we will retain 25% of your deposit.

There is a minimum of 2 nights stay in both the barn and the b&b

The wood burner will be laid for you and one basket of wood is included in the price, and if you are staying more than one night, there will be kindling and fire lighters. We charge £5.00 a large basket of locally sourced fire wood. Please only burn the wood we provide as other fuels clog up the flue.

The barn must be booked sole occupancy at weekends and bank holidays. There is a 2 night minimum stay. Well behaved dogs are permitted in the barn by prior arrangement. Please be aware that we are surrounded by sheep and cattle and there are free range chickens in the garden. Dogs must be kept on a lead and under full control at all times.

The total number of people in the barn must not exceed 12 people. The barn is NOT a party venue and the owners reserve the right to ask anybody whose behaviour we consider unacceptable to leave. Noise outside the barn must be kept to a minimum after 9.30pm and noise within the barn must not be audible from within the main house.

Smoking is not permitted inside the house or barn and cigarette butts must be disposed of in the ashtrays or bins provided.

The BBQ is only permitted to be used on the gravel area in the back garden. Please clean out after use.

The barn should be left as you found it. Should you find anything broken or defective, please let us know and we will do our best to rectify it.

Parking

There are spaces for up to 5 cars for guests in the barn and 1 car space for each room in the b&b.

Arrival

Check in is from 3pm and check out is from 11am.

Liability

The owners do not and will not accept responsibility for damages, loss, accident, injury or death resulting in the use of the barn or the b&b. We cannot accept responsibility for loss of expense due to delays in travel or weather conditions, sickness or any other reason.

Please respect the countryside around us and note that fireworks and Chinese lanterns are not permitted in the Forest of Bowland.
