To offer reassurance to our guests when we reopen, we will be making the following changes.

    • If you become ill before your stay and test positive for Covid-19 then we will reshedule your stay penalty free. Please do not travel here if you are unwell.
    • If you become unwell with suspected Covid-19 during your stay, you should return home by private transport and self isolate in line with government advice.
    • If you are not well enough to travel home and need to extend your stay, you will be liable for the additional cost and any susequent cancellations incurred, including those of other guests.
  • We will arrange mealtimes with our guests to so that there are only 2-4 people in the dining room at the same time, unless all part of the same group.
  • Packed lunches, picnic hampers and afternoon teas available to take out with you when you are exploring the local area. Please look at http://dalehousebarn.co.uk/index.php/b-and-b/dining-at-dale-house for further information.
  • We will be removing items such as information leaflets from the rooms, these will be available on request for you to keep. Maps of local routes will also be available on request.
  • Our cleaning standards are already excellent and will continue to be so. We will however wash bedlinen and towels at 60c instead of 40c in biological powder and disinfectant will be in use to clean all contact points regularly.
  • All crockey and cutlery is washed in a dish washer.
  • We will be washing our hands regularly and we ask our guests to do the same, especially when arriving or before coming into the public areas such as the diningroom.
  • Mini hand sanitisers will be in all the b&b bedrooms.
  • We have invested in a disinfectant fogging machine which will be used in the barn between groups in order to disinfect all the mattresses and the whole space after the normal cleaning has been done.
  • We will keep a record of all guests staying at our property for effective track and trace if requested by the relevant authority. This information will not be shared with anyone else.
  • We have completed the relevant Covid-19 risk assesments for all parts of our business.
  • We will need to adhere to whatever government guidelines are in place at the time of your stay here. We will notify you if there are any changes in policy that would cause any problems with your booking with as much notice as we are able. Some things are out of our direct control and we will need to act  in good faith at the time depending on the situation with Covid-19 regulations.
Our 400 year old stone barn sleeps a maximum of 14 people.

Sleeping

We provide single mattresses on both sleeping levels which can be positioned on those levels to suit your groups needs. You will need to bring sleeping bags or suitable bedding and towels. Large windows overlook the meadow.

Eating

Groups can self cater or take advantage of having some delicious meals cooked for them. We can provide full breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals, using amazing local produce. Just ask for more details as the menu changes with the seasons.

Barn Facilities

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, 4 ring hob, microwave oven with grill, toaster, kettle and a good array of pots pans, cups, plates, cutlery etc. There are bins for recycling and a sink for washing up. In the shower rooms there are 2 showers with really good pressure and plenty of hot water and a heated towel rail. There are 2 toilets, one with disabled access and a separate teeth brushing/face washing basin.

Cost and booking.

The barn costs £195 per night and must be booked for a minimum of 2 nights. It sleeps a maximum of 14 people.  Please contact us through our booking page for availability and to reserve your dates. 

We permit up to two well behaved dogs by prior arrangement. They must be kept on a lead when outside and under full control at all times as we are surrounded by sheep. Dogs should not be left unsupervised in the barn.
